Dutch Ryhthm Combo Collaboration Complete!

Raining super hard here in the top left. Down puffy, glasses, hi tops, hunkered down at a place that's got great wireless, crossing my fingers on these huge file uploads that I'm trying to send over to Berlin for this amazing project I just worked on which I'm really excited about.

Spent the last 72 hours recording, editing, writing on anything that would hold ink and sorting thru 2 months worth of notes to complete vocals on something that now constitutes celebration.

I also got to use the word "sharks", which was a first for me. Funny having spent my entire life writing, a new word enters the barn and the rest of the flock turns around to welcome in the stranger.

As with anything else I share here (be it art, poetry, or anything else that took alot of time and effort), there is a lot of trust involved on my end and because I believe in workers sharing work amongst the greater circle of eyes and ears in the hopes that it might make something of itself someday, please, PLEASE, don't take advantage of that trust. I know you won't! And I'm proud to show you!

SUNDAYS
Copyright 2008
Music by Felix Haaksman
Lyrics + Melody by Luke Reynolds

There's a river running slowly over space and time
We're in the middle but we'll make it to the other side
Underwater in the darkness sharks are taking their time
Taking their time

Every one of us is headed for a destination
A million Greyhound buses headed towards a single station
Its up to us along the way to solve the right equations
The right equations

In the middle of the widest and most open spaces
And far beyond the most foreign and far off places
Somewhere in between the first and the final pages
It awaits us...

The album drops in Europe June 27th on 12".

The band is Dutch Rhythm Combo led by Felix Haaksman who makes up one half of the German re-mix team Haaksman + Haaksman.
